K090 CERAMIC - ALUMINA/TiC - C4, C7-C8 K01-K10, P01-P05 Steel, Cast Iron Composition: Alumina/TiC ceramic grade (black). Application: Great combination of toughness and wear resistance; used for machining alloy steels, tool steels and stainless steels to 60 HRc (653 BHN).
K1 CARBIDE - UNCOATED UNCOATED C2 K20-K30 Stainless Steel, Cast Iron, Non-Ferrous Metals, High-Temp Alloys a tough WC/Co unalloyed grade. For roughing through heavy interruptions when turning or milling tsainless steels, cast irons and cast steels, rough cast non-ferrous alloys and most high-temperature alloys including titanium.
K1025 (KMF) CARBIDE - - N25-N30, S25-S30 Non-Ferrous Materials, High-Temp Alloys Medium in hardnessand binder content unalloyed WC/Co fine-grain grade. For machining high-temp alloys, titanium, and non-ferrous workpiece materials under unfavorable conditions.
K110M CARBIDE - UNCOATED UNCOATED C2-C3 K10-15 N10-20 S10-15 Cast Iron, Non-Ferrous Materials, High-Temp Alloys Uncoated carbide grade K110M is a universal grade for machining non-ferrous material. For use in light and general machining. K110M can be used with or without coolant.
K115M CARBIDE - UNCOATED UNCOATED C3 K05-10 N05-15 Cast Iron, Non-Ferrous Materials Uncoated fine-grain carbide. K115M is a premium uncoated grade designed for high edge wear resistance in non-ferrous and cast iron materials. Recommended to be used with coolant.
K125M CARBIDE - UNCOATED UNCOATED C5 P20-30 Steel Uncoated carbide grade K125M is particularly suited for dry machining of steel. Primarily for use in light and general machining of steel.
K313 CARBIDE Uncoated C3-C4 M10-20 K05-20 N10-20 S10-20 Stainless Steel, Cast Iron, Non-Ferrous Metals, Hardened Materials Composition: A hard, low binder content, unalloyed WC/Co fine-grained grade. Application: Exceptional edge wear resistance combined with very high strength for machining titanium, cast irons, austenitic stainless steels, non-ferrous metals, nonmetals, and most high-temperature alloys. Superior thermal deformation and depth of cut notch resistance. The grain size is well controlled for minimal pits and flaws which contributes to long, reliable service.
K420 CARBIDE - UNCOATED UNCOATED C6 P20-P30, M15-M30 Steel Composition: A medium binder content, alloyed, larger grain size grade. Application: Grade K420 is a general purpose steel cutting grade. It has just the right balance of wear resistance and toughness. Available as a standard grade in the Top Notch threading and grooving line. Can withstand heavy chip loads in soft to moderately hard steels. Consider upgrading to grade KC710 for most uses.
K600 CARBIDE - UNCOATED - - N15-N30 Steel, Stainless Steel, Cast-Iron, Non-Ferrous Metals, High-Temp Alloys, Hardened Metals Carbide grade made from high quality, micrograin materials for cutting all types of material. Extreme toughness guarantees a controlled wear rate. The micrograin structure permits extremely sharp cutting edges.
K68 CARBIDE Uncoated C3 M10-20, K05-20, N10-20, S10-20 Cast irons, Austenitic Stainless Steels, Non-ferrous Metals, Nonmetals Grade K68 has excellent abrasion resistance for machining cast irons, austenitic stainless steels, non-ferrous metals, nonmetals and as an alternative to grade K313 on most high-temperature alloys. Use as a general purpose grade for non-ferrous materials.
KB1340 CBN - POLYCRYSTALLINE - - K10-30 Cast Iron A high CBN content, solid PCBN insert having multiple cutting edges. Applied in roughing to finishing of fully pearlitic gray cast iron, chilled irons, high-chrome alloyed steels, sintered powdered metals, and heavy cuts in hardened steels (>45 HRC). Also use for finishing chilled cast iron and fully pearlitic cast iron. The solid PCBN insert offers better security and shock resistance compared to tipped PCBN inserts, while also enabling deeper depth-of-cut capabilites.
KB1345 CBN - POLYCRYSTALLINE - - K05 K35-40 H35 Cast Iron, Hardened Materials A high CBN content, PCBN tip brazed onto a carbide insert. Applied in roughing to finishing of fully pearlitic gray cast iron, chilled irons, high-chrome alloyed steels, sintered powdered metals, and heavy cuts in hardened steels (>45 HRC). Also use for finishing chilled cast iron and fully pearlitic cast iron.
KB1610 CBN - POLYCRYSTALLINE - - H05-15 Hardened Materials 'A low CBN content, PCBN tip brazed onto a carbide insert. Designed for precision finishing in smooth cuts on hardened steels (>45 HRC) where optimal surface finish is needed. Use on bearing steel, hot and cold work tool steels, high-speed steels, die steels, case hardened steels, carburizes and nitrided irons, and some hard coatings. Do not apply on soft steel.

KB5610 CBN - POLYCRYSTALLINE TiAlN C4, C8 H05-15 Hardened Materials A low content PCBN grade with a PVD TiAlN coating for added wear resistance. Designed for the precision machining of hardened steels (>45 HRC). The PVD coating offers improved wear resistance and excellent surface finish capabilities. It can be very effectively applied on bearing steels, hot and cold work tool steels, high-speed steels, die steels, case-hardened steels, carburized and nitrided irons, and some hard coatings.
KB5625 CBN - POLYCRYSTALLINE TiAlN C4, C8 H20-30 Hardened Materials A PVD TiAlN coating over a medium content, PCBN tip brazed onto a carbide insert. Designed for roughing to finishing of hardened steels (>45 HRC). Use on bearing steel, hot and cold work tool steels, high-speed steels, die steels, case-hardened steels, carburized and nitrided irons, and some hard coatings.
KB5630 CBN - POLYCRYSTALLINE TiAlN C4, C8 K05-15 S10-15 H25-35 Cast Iron, High-Temp Alloys, Hardened Materials A high content PCBN grade with a PVD TiAlN coating for added wear resistance. Designed for roughing to finishing in hardened steels (>45 HRC), abrasive workpiece materials such as sintered valve seat materials, powder metallurgy tool steels, and hard high-alloy cast irons. The PVD coating provides resistance to crater wear and increased resistance to chipping.
KB9610 CBN - POLYCRYSTALLINE TiN/Al2O3/TiCN CVD C4, C8 K05 H05-15 Hardened Materials Low content PCBN grade with a TiN/Al2O3/TiCN CVD coating for protection against harmful crater wear. Designed for the precision machining of hardened steels (>48 HRC), the harder the steel the better. Very effectively applied on bearing steels, hot and cold work tool steels, high-speed steels, die steels, case hardened steels, carburized and nitrided irons, and some hard coatings. Do not use on soft steels. For best results, apply negative rake tools in OD applications and postive tools in ID applications. Available in a multi-tip format with a tremendous breadth of edge preps and two styles of wiper geometries.
KB9640 CBN - POLYCRYSTALLINE TiN Al2O3 TiCN C1 K10-30 H30-35 Steels, Cast Iron, Hardened Materials High CBN content, solid PCBN structure having multiple cutting edges and a CVD alumina coating. Applied in the roughing to semi-finishing of fully pearlitic gray cast iron, chilled irons, high chrome alloy steels, sintered powdered metals, and heavy cuts in hardened steels (>45 HRC). Also use for finished chilled cast iron and fully pearlitic cast iron. Do not apply on finishing hardened steels. The solid KB9640 also can be effectively applied when roughing hardened steels.
KC410M CARBIDE - PVD COATED TiB2 (titanium-diboride) - N05-15 Non-ferrous Materials An extremely hard TiB2-PVD-coated grade that provides very good wear characteristics at higher cutting speeds. KC410M resists edge build up, can help reduce burring, and generates excellent surface finishes. This grade is best suited for aluminum with <10% silicon and other non-ferrous materials.
KC5010 CARBIDE PVD-AlTiN C3-C4 P10-20 M10-20 K10-20 N10-20 S10-20 H10 Steel, Stainless Steel, Cast-Iron, Non-Ferrous Metals, High-Temp Alloys, Hardened Metals The KC5010 grade is ideal for finishing to general machining of most workpiece materials at higher speeds. Excellent for machining most steels, stainless steels, cast irons, non-ferrous materials and super alloys under stable conditions. It also performs well machining hardened and short chipping materials.
KC5025 CARBIDE PVD-AlTiN C2, C6 P20-30 M20-30 K20-30 N20-30 S20-30 Steel, Stainless Steel, Cast-Iron,Non-Ferrous Metals, High-Temp Alloys For general purpose machining of most steels, stainless steels, high-temperature alloys, titanium, irons, and non-ferrous materials. Speeds may vary from low to medium, and will handle interruptions and high feed rates.
KC510M CARBIDE - PVD COATED TiAlN - P05-10 N05-15 S05-10 H05-10 Steel, Non-Ferrous Materials, High-Temp Alloys, Steel, Hardened Materials Coated carbide grade with a TiAlN coating (PVD). KC510M is a highly wear resistant grade. Primarily for use in milling aluminum and high-temp alloys in light machining applications. Can also be used for machining steel and hardened steel.
KC515M CARBIDE - PVD COATED TiAlN - P05-15 M10 K10 Steel, Stainless Steel, Cast Iron Premium coated grade K10 substrate with built in wear resistance. TiAlN coating for extended life during finishing applicatons. Used in finish ball nose and back draft inserts for the die & mold industry. Capable of running at moderate to high cutting speeds. Recommended to be used dry or with an air blast.
KC520M CARBIDE - PVD COATED TiAlN C1-C2 K15-25 Cast Iron Coated carbide grade with a TiAlN coating (PVD). KC520M is a carbide grade developed specifically for general machining of ductile cast iron. This grade can be used wet or dry.
KC522M CARBIDE - PVD COATED TiAlN C1 P20-25 M20-30 K25-35 S20-30 - Coated carbide grade with a TiAlN (PVD) coating. KC522M is engineered to provide better performance in general machining of high-temp alloys and stainless steel. KC522M resists breakage and offers improved wear resistance and increased strengh
KC525M CARBIDE - PVD COATED TiAlN - P20-30 M20-30 S20-30 Steel, Stainless Steel, Steel Coated carbide grade with a TiAlN coating (PVD). New universal carbide grade for milling steel, stainless steel, and high-temperature alloys. KC525M can be used with or without coolant. Primarily for use in light and general machining.
KC530M CARBIDE - PVD COATED TiAlN - P25-35 M25-30 Steel, Stainless Steel Premium PVD-coated carbide grade (P40) with a TiAlN coating. Enables extended tool life at moderate feeds and high cutting speeds. First choice for milling in all steels, including die & mold steels. Recommended to use without coolant.
KC5410 CARBIDE PVD-TiB2 (titanium-diboride) C3-C4 N05-20 Non-Ferrous Metals An extremely hard TiB2-PVD-coated grade that provides very good wear characteristics at high cutting speeds and is best suited for machining aluminum with <10% silicon and other non-ferrous materials. KC5410 resists built-up edge, can help reduce the burring effect, and will generate excellent surface finishes.
KC5510 CARBIDE PVD-AlTiN C3-C4 P10-20 M10-20 K10-20 N10-20 S10-20 H10 Steel, Stainless Steel, Cast-Iron,Non-Ferrous Metals, High-Temp Alloys, Hardened Materials Advanced PVD TiAlN coated fine-grained tungsten carbide grade. Specifically engineered for the productive machining of high-temperature alloys. The fine-grained tungsten carbide 6% cobalt substrate has excellent toughness and deformation resistance while the advanced PVD coating allows for metal cutting speeds double those of conventional PVD-coated cutting tools.
KC5525 CARBIDE PVD-AlTiN C2-C6 P20-30 M20-30 K20-30 N20-30 S20-30 Steel, Stainless Steel, Cast-Iron,Non-Ferrous Metals, High-Temp Alloys Advanced PVD TiAlN coated fine-grained high cobalt carbide grade. Utilizes the same advanced PVD coating as KC5510 in conjunction with a fine-grained tungsten carbide 10% cobalt substrate. The higher cobalt provides for added security in interrupted cuts while the fine grained WC maintains hardness-resisting deformation at higher speeds. Designed for medium to heavy interruptions in high-temperature alloys.

KC631M CARBIDE - PVD COATED TiAlN - - Non-Ferrous Materials Coated carbide grade with 3µm thick PVD coating (TiAlN). KC631M is a very thin and smooth PVD coating which is particularly suitable for cuttiing aluminum with silicon contents greater than 12% This coating keeps the necessary sharp cutting edge upright and protects the tool against abrasion and edge build up.
KC633M CARBIDE - PVD COATED TiAlN/TiN/TiAlN - P15-30 M15-30 S15-30 Steel, Stainless Steel, High-Temp Alloys Coated carbide grade with a PVD multilayer coating (TiAlN, TiN, TiAlN). KC633M is a high performance grade for dry milling of all material types. This grade is extremely hard and wear resistant.
